So I thought of a name for my pretty new ibook finally.


She's: Belladonna.


as in: "Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks, / The lady of situations" (Eliot, lines 49-50).



That quote is from The Waste Land, if you didn't pick up on that.

so south by southwest's got:

atmosphere, belle & sebastian, billy bragg, brazilian girls, cat power, jamie cullum (Risto looooves him), the flaming lips, her space holiday, jolie holland (yes yes yes!), talib kweli, ladytron, morrissey, nada surf, the new pornographers, nickel creek (shuttup, i like bluegrass more than i like you), over the rhine, rainer maria.

but it's five nights long & almost $600. yikes. and in austin.


meanwhile, coachella's got:

on sat, april 29: depeche mode, franz ferdinand, atmosphere, ladytron, cat power, imogen heap, hybrid, infusion.

on sun, april 30: tool, yeah yeah yeahs, scissor sisters, sleater-kinney.


yes, there are more bands at both festivals, but these are the ones i'd be interested/ most interested in seeing. coachella is more like $100 a day but then there's airfare & where to stay as well. i wonder also which place i'd rather go to, austin or cali. there's also the question of timing. coachella's right before my 22nd birthday, but sxsw is march 10-19, which i'm hoping is sometime over spring break, as i've never gone anywhere fun over spring break & that would be a perfect place to go.
