Apr. 7th, 2010 05:21 pmIt seems like things can go really well at work, or at home, and never completely at both. It's not as if either is going badly. Work is going really well. I got promoted again in January, and now I'm the Content Project Manager, and I have my own giant, windowed office. Also I still get to wear jeans to work.
Mainly I'm worried about what next year will look like. We will not live in the same place after July. Where will we live, will we live in a house or an apartment, will we have a yard, you know. I like to have all that stuff planned out further in advance than Risto does.
It's getting really warm here now and I want to go to the swimming hole again--I love it there. I am going to take peanut butter and banana sandwiches to eat on the rocks while I stick my feet in the water.
I also really want to go to the zoo. We've been watching lots of nature programs, like this BBC one on mammals with David Attenborough. Now I want to go and see the little guys I've been learning about! Even more, though, I want to go camping at Grayson Highlands, which is in southern Virginia, so I can watch the wild ponies moseying around.
I got a new car, which is a 2007 Volkswagen GTI, and its name is Road Panther. I am getting this license plate: RD PNTHR. I can talk on the phone with the built-in blue tooth, and hear people over the car speakers. It is way advanced, or at least I think so.
At 6:30 we are having some drinks thing at the Omni, so I'm trying to stick around here for a while. Otherwise, I will not be able to drag myself back out of the house to go. I want a cup of coffee first but instead I am drinking water to rehydrate myself. It is not as satisfying, but probably better.
Maybe I will just go read outside until it's time to go to drinks. Today it was supposed to be 90 degrees, so I wore a summer dress with a blue thermal shirt on top. I have very short hair for the summertime again, but oh well. So much for growing it out. I want to have nice long hair, but not the in between kind. Maybe I will get the kind of extensions that fuse onto your hair. Has anyone had those? I am fascinated by them, but also convinced that they will fall out randomly and then what do I do? Do you carry around the extra hair with you? Yuck.
Alright, I haven't gotten any email for a while, I think everyone else has gone home too.
